A SHOW OF SHAME
What happened yesterday at the National House of Assembly chambers was indeed a great show of shame and ungentlemanly.
What on earth could make the honorable members of the house of assembly result in the scaling of fence and breaking through the police barricade?
This is no time to apportion blame to either the police force for putting the barricade in the first place, or blaming the members of the house for scaling the fence of the hallowed chamber and breaking the law of the  Nigerian police force even when they claim that they got a tip-off of the invading of the chamber by some unmentioned hoodlums.
The  House members claimed they were reconveining to attend to a matter of national importance that has to do with the extention of emergency rule in some of the boko-haram infested North-east states. But my anger and disappointent is that as law makers and leader or custodians of the principle of rule of law and democracy, this is totally unacceptable by all well meaning Nigerians.
For God sake, you got to the gates of the chambers and found it under lock and keys, why not as gentle men that they claim to be go back and then go to court to challenge their denial of entry.
On the part of the Nigerain police force, a proper public address should have been made or a letter be written to the speaker of the house that folllowing a tip-off the gates will be locked, and a later date scheduled. must it be the morning of a serious debate?.
Members should have been screeened and allowed in on the presentain of the ID cards and allowed entrace into the chambers to perform thier civic duties.
Infact this whole situation is a pointer to how desperarte our leader are and don't mind who gets hurt, the law been broken not minding to get their selfish desire's achieved.
In-fact this is a wake up call to all eligible voters, to be more pro-active and guide our votes judiciously, and vote for the right people.
WHAT WE WANT:
1) The IG of Police should appologies to the Honorable members, the President of the senate and to the entire Nigerian citizens.
2) The IG of police should also promise us that this ugly situations must not repeat itself again.
3) The Speaker of the House of assembly should also apologies to the IG of police and the entire Officers and men of the police force over their unruly behavior.
4) The house should also with immediate effect take care of the medical bills of the injured police officers.
Power comes from God, Nigerian leaders should have this at the back of their mind and stop pursuing it with a do-or die approach.
God help us and save us from the hands of any Political group, religious group and or even any ethnic group that wants to scuttle our nascent democracy.
God Bless The Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
