MY 7 KEYS TO DEVELOPING YOUR LEADERSHIP POTENTIALS:
Hello readers, i know the word leadership is not new to any of us reading this article, but for the sake of clarity and better understanding, of the subject matter, i will briefly define leadership.
Leadership is described as a process of  having influence over a group of people, and still having the support of members of the same group, in the accomplishment of the common goal.
I will not be looking at leadership from the intellectual perspective, but from the Biblical perspective again, because God remains the standard for life.
  WHO IS A LEADER:
According to the Bible, in Revelation 5:10, every born again child of God is ordained to be a leader. The verse says we are redeemed to be kings and priests, and the duties of a king is to lead others. So wherever you find yourself, after reading through this piece, start thinking and acting as the leader that you were redeemed to become.
However, your leadership begins with a self realization of our leadership rights in the Bible by God.
Among so many keys to developing these leadership potentials imbedded in us by redemption includes these seven i shall be discussing in this article;
  1. Choose the area of leadership you want; Recognize and abide in your calling (1cor7:20). What is it you derive pleasure doing, your area of interest in life. e.g Politics, business, educational, science, engineering or ministry etc.
  2.  Make up your mind on Success (leadership). Nothing stops a man whose mind is made up on a thing or goal. (Gen11:6)
  3. Stay connected to the caller (God); Don't run away in the challenge, as all creations are meant to survive in the environment they were created.e.g A tree stands in her position despite the storm and shine. (John15:4-6). Learn to trace back your root to God, in the midst of challenges
  4. Take responsibility- all the result you will ever get from life, is traceable to your level of responsibility/decisions you take in life.
  5. Self Development: learn to develop yourself mentally, physically and spiritually. Learn new things in your chosen line of leadership. (2 Tim2:15, 1Tim 4:14-16)
  • -If you stay at a place you remain the same place
  • Readers are leaders
  • Be  voluminous but  a selective reader.
     6. Challenge yourself always (1Samuel 17:34)
-Always look at your previous failures and success and learn from them.
                                                  Follow This Pattern:
         Event
Personal-  Pervasive - Permanent.
     7.  Identify your coaches and mentors and follow them. 1Cor11:1, Philipian3:17.
                              Mentor
Distant mentor(you cannot meet)& Close mentors(you can meet)
     8. Inspire and develop others:
          -Leadership is influence.
                                      See you at the top.
